Description:

Chelsea Guo was the winner of the 10th annual "The National Chopin Piano Competition of the United States" held in Miami in February and March 2020. She is currently studying piano at the Juilliard School and singing, which she has been drawn to since childhood, with the renowned singer and teacher Lorraine Nubar. She is often known for singing as well as playing piano in concert, and was given the opportunity by the American radio station WQXR to perform in their "Young Artist Showcase" along with Liszt's arrangements of Schubert songs, Mozart sonatas, and Chopin's "Funerary Songs," as well as Duparc, Chaminade, and Richardt, Chaminade, Richard Strauss, and Dostal, as well as Chopin's "Boat Song" arranged by Liszt. In this album, she performs Chopin's "24 Preludes" as her main work, as well as the Boat Song and Fantasy, and sings Chopin's song "My Joy" and other songs accompanied by herself. Naxos Japan
