Description:
The Johnny Burnett Trio, who would become a charismatic figure in the neo-rockabilly world, formed a drum-less rockabilly band with his brother Dorsey Burnett (b) and Paul Barrison (g). They started playing in their hometown. After a few years, they signed a contract with Coral Records. Released the song included in this CD. Although it did not become a nationwide hit, their danceable songs and sound, which transcended the boundaries of rockabilly, were appreciated by young people in later years. As a result, the band was reevaluated in the wake of the rise of punk and neo-rockabilly rockers in the U.K. The guitar sound that came out of the overdriven guitar amps was so powerful that it sounded as if a fuzz effector was used. This CD is the only reissue of the trio's first album, and is one of the most important albums in rock history. The bonus tracks include some of their best-known songs that are not on the album.
