The final chapter of the only studio album by Phil Manzanera’s Quiet Sun, originally released in 1975, is finally here! Featuring a brand-new remaster and two previously unreleased tracks, this album will be released first in Japan, followed by a worldwide premiere! Before joining Roxy Music, guitarist Phil Manzanera led a Canterbury-based band called Quiet Sun. Later, in 1975, while working on his debut solo album *DiamondHead*, he invited members of The Quiet Sun to join him, and they recorded this album in parallel. Released simultaneously with *DiamondHead* is this album, *Mainstream*. Recorded over two days in approximately 12 hours with Brian Eno as a guest, the album fuses an aggressive rock sound reminiscent of King Crimson with the delicate, technical jazz-rock sound of the Canterbury scene, delivering a high-tension performance throughout. For this release, all tracks have been newly remastered by engineer Mike Boddy, who has worked on various projects by Roxy Music and Dave Gilmour. Additionally, two previously unreleased tracks (RFD2 and Teflon Kid) have been included for the first time, and the album is being released on high-quality UHQCD. This deluxe edition features a Japan-exclusive single paper sleeve replicating the original LP, along with limited-edition bonuses including a replica of the original LP inner sleeve, a full English-Japanese translation of the booklet, a jacket design sticker, and a limited-edition sleeve case!
