Yamashita Kazuhito

Description:

More than 20 years after the amazing Sol complete works (16CDs), guitarist Kazuhito Yamashita made a new recording in 2009. This new recording shows the depth and transformation of his interpretation over the years. A quiet life in Nagasaki, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Listening to the chirping of birds and the sound of insects late at night, the seasons are passing by. Following the release of the "Sol Guitar Collection" in 2011, the "Selected Etudes by Sol" is now available on CD. This third collection includes all 25 pieces of "Introduction to Guitar Practice, Op.60". <Kazuhito Yamashita (guitar) was born in Nagasaki in 1961, and learned guitar from his father, Toru Yamashita, from the age of eight. At the age of 15, he won the National Guitar Competition (now the Tokyo International Guitar Competition), and at 16, he became the youngest ever winner of the world's three major international guitar competitions in Ramirez, Alessandria, and Paris. He has released 80 albums to date.Since then, he has arranged many major orchestral pieces for guitar, including "The Firebird," "Scheelazato," and "From the New World," as well as "Bach: Suite for Solo Violin, Cello, Flute, and Lute, BWV 995-1013 (5CDs)," all arranged by himself. All arrangements. He also has a vast repertoire of original guitar repertoire, including "Sol: Complete Guitar Works (16CDs)", "Villa-Lobos", and "C. Tedesco", all of which are highly acclaimed for their virtuosic performances. He has given solo recitals at the Musikverein Vienna, Lincoln Center in New York, and other venues around the world. In 2004, he formed the "Kazuhito Yamashita Family Quartet Quintet" with his children, and also performs as a guitar duo with his eldest daughter (Beniyumi) and second daughter (Aiyo) around the world. Grand Prize at the 1999 Bunka-cho Arts Festival. Tobu Land System
