Aerosmith

Treasure Ark, a series of high-quality live recordings! From the "Nine Lives Tour" extended by the hit song "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing", the July 2, 1999 show in Nijmegen, Holland was recorded! From the 1999 tour, which marked the peak of Aerosmith's career for the first time in several years, the live performance in Nijmegen, the Netherlands on July 2, 1999 was recorded! Originally released on May 8, 1997 in the UK as part of the "Nine Lives" tour for the band's return to Columbia in 1997, the tour was extended for a year longer than originally planned, eventually ending in Lisbon, Portugal on July 17, 1999, where the band played 200 shows in just over two years. It was the longest ever for the band, with over 200 stops. This happened because "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," recorded as the theme song for the 1998 movie "Armageddon," was released in July 1998, in the middle of the tour, and became the band's first No. 1 hit in the US (it debuted at No. 1) and an extra big hit worldwide. It was also the reason for the success of the live album "A Little South of Sanity". During the tour, Steven Tyler suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury and Joey Kramer was burned, causing 43 shows to be canceled and 36 to be rescheduled, but the tour was still completed. This is from the final leg of the tour, the third European leg. The tour averaged 24 songs per show and lasted from two to two and a half hours, with only about one-third of the set list being fixed. Many of the songs were covers, and on this day the band played songs by Fleetwood Mac and James Brown, and the encore was a Zeppelin song. It's a night of listening, including Chris Robinson from opening act Black Crowes on "Chip Away The Stone."
