(Original release: 1978/Capitol Records)After playing in the legendary Greenwich Village group The Magicians in the 1960s, Alan Gordon became a hit songwriter with Gary Bonner for hits such as "Happy Together" by The Turtles. On this second solo effort, produced by Jack Nitsche, he covers his own songs for Barbra Streisand and Michelle Phillips. While maintaining the catchy, oldie feel that he is known for, the album features a more sophisticated Philly soul approach.
