This is the 13th studio album by CANDLEMASS, known as the pioneers and representatives of epic doom metal. The album is the 13th studio album of CANDLEMASS, known as a pioneer of epic doom metal and a representative of the genre. The band's unique sound, heavy but with a Scandinavian melancholy, was unique from their debut album "EPICUS DOOMICUS METALLICUS", and they established their doom metal style with their next album "NIGHTFALL", which featured Messiah McLaughlin on vocals. With their next album, "NIGHTFALL," which featured vocalist Messiah McCauline, the band established a doom metal style that appealed to the world. After that, the band went through member changes, suspensions, and reunions, and has released 12 studio albums to date. The band has been recognized for its achievements over the years and has won a Grammy Award in their native Sweden. The band celebrated the 30th anniversary of their debut with a long-awaited first visit to Japan in 2016 at Loud Park. Then in 2019, they will perform their first solo Japan tour in Tokyo and Osaka.The latter solo show in particular was a great success, with many fans flocking to the venue to see the band perform a full set for the first time in Japan, to which the members responded with a passionate performance that showed their absolute presence as doom metal veterans in front of their Japanese fans.
