Graham Coxon’s fifth solo album, *Happiness in Magazines*, originally released in 2004, has been reissued. This masterpiece was produced by Stephen Street. Produced in collaboration with Stephen Street (The Smiths, The Cranberries), *Happiness in Magazines* is Graham Coxon’s fifth solo album. The album, which was his most successful solo release at the time, reached the Top 20 on the UK Albums Chart and won the “Best Solo Artist” award at the 2005 NME Awards. Led by the perfect pop sound of “Bittersweet Bundle of Misery” and the raw, Skids-esque “Freakin’ Out,” Graham established himself as part of the lineage of classic power pop, UK punk, and ’60s songwriting. “‘Bittersweet Bundle of Misery’ and ‘Freakin’ Out’ were two of the first songs I ever wrote. I remember thinking, ‘Maybe my songwriting is getting a little better? Maybe I should take this more seriously and stop being such a control freak.’ Stephen understood that. He liked what I was aiming for, the sound, and the era that influenced me—bands like The Cars and The Jam,” Graham recalls.
