EELS has had one of the most consistently acclaimed careers in music.The transformative project of singer-songwriter E (Mark Oliver Everett) has released 14 studio albums since his 1996 debut, Beautiful Freak. E also published the well-received book, Things the Grandchildren Should Know, in 2008. He is also featured in Parallel Lives, an award-winning Parallel Worlds documentary about his quantum physicist father, Hugh Everett III.
