This ambitious year-long project pays homage to Khruangbin's ever-sharpening live show.The LP series includes Austin, Texas with Khruangbin and Kelly Doyle, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers, and Robert Ellis at Stubb's; New York City with Nubya Garcia at Radio City. Toronto with Men I Trust at RBC Echo Beach, and Miami with Toro Y Moi and others at TheFillmore. The first LP, Khruangbin & Friends "Live At Stubb's," will be released May 19, 2023 on Dead Oceans in partnership with NightTime Stories.This was followed by Khruangbin & Nubya Garcia "Live at Radio City Music Hall" (June 30), Khruangbin & Men I Trust "Live at RBC Echo Beach" (August 11), and Khruangbin & Toro y Moi " Live at the Fillmore Miami" (September 22). From our perspective, it was a truly spiritual experience to see people who had been isolated come together through song and dance as the global restrictions gradually eased and the long awaited end of restrictions came to an end." To see and hear the audience sing along to the songs we presented during the pandemic and to feel so loved and accepted was immeasurable. We wanted to find a way to commemorate the trip and decided to release a series of live recordings, including artwork and photos from the shows, to celebrate the artists who performed with us. It was truly a memorable time," says Khruangbin.
