The Kanagawa University Symphonic Band will perform the joy and power of life on a high note! The regular concert of the Kanagawa University Symphonic Band, which opened the year 2023, featured a program of classical orchestral works. The main piece, Orff's "Carmina Burana," beautifully brought out the charm of the work, such as its power, joy of life, and beauty, not to mention the splendor of Brahms and the depth of Debussy's shadows. In fact, this is a work that Music Director Toshiro Ozawa has been planning to feature for some time, and expectations are high for its long-awaited appearance. The piece "Peace, Peace and the Birds Sing" by Yasuhide Ito, which was also performed at the last regular season concert, was later performed at the All Japan Band Competition, where it won the gold prize. The subscription concert, held for the first time in five years at Yokohama's world-famous Minato Mirai Hall, is a program that offers a glimpse of something new and unique to Shindai. CAFUA Records
