In the beginning, most of the Rolling Stones' albums consisted of covers of American black music such as rock and roll, R&B, and blues, etc. This album released in 1966 is the first album in which all the songs are by Jagger/Richard. Some of the numbers were influenced by black music, which they digested and reflected in their own songs, while others, such as M3, were beautiful acoustic numbers (Lady Jane is a cloak for drugs, in case you were wondering). The album is full of popular songs, including the energetic M1, M4, a unique interpretation of blackness with vibes, M7, a classic, and M12, which has a laid-back groove and Mick's vocals are also very cool!
