She is known as the singer who played the role of Susanna in Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" when it was first performed in Vienna in 1786 (the title role was played by Francesco Benucci). This album is a collection of opera arias written for Nancy Straith, a popular singer at the time. Mozart's "How could I forget you" K.505 was sent to Nancy when she returned to London, and Mozart played it for her at her farewell concert.
