Schmidt-Isserstedt, Mass in B minor! Once upon a time, in the 1950s in the United States of America, there was a record company called ROYALE. The label was called "Pirates of Classical Music: Cursed Performers," which sold LPs with appropriate names attached to performances broadcast mainly in Europe. This performance was also released with Joseph Balzer conducting, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Erna Stolzer (Sp), Erna Maria Römer (At), Fritz Vogel (Tn), and Ernst Wagner (Bs), but this is the first time the correct credit is given. It is a great pleasure to hear this rare recording of Schmidt-Isserstedt's Bach under the correct credit for the first time. The tempo is slow and the music moves slowly and steadily.Although recorded 60 years ago, there is no shortage of enjoyment of this truly human and magnanimous Bach. King International
