Included "Olympia" by Hayato Hirose and "Mirai no Sora e" by Naoya Wada The 54th collection of works by Belgian sheet music publisher Hafabra Music. The title tune is "Kojiki" by Quincy C. Hilliard, winner of the 2013 Global Music Award. Inspired by the Japanese poem Kojiki, the song is interspersed throughout the piece with the traditional Japanese song "Sakura Sakura," which is also used to great effect. The inclusion of Japanese nursery rhymes also makes this a remarkable piece that shows Quincy C. Hilliard's meticulous compositional skills. Hayato Hirose's "Olympia" was commissioned by Hafabra Music. Inspired by ancient Greek murals, he wrote this opening piece with a thick, dramatic feel. Naoya Wada's "To the Future Sky" was composed to commemorate the 40th regular concert of the brass band club of Warabi City Daini Junior High School in Saitama Prefecture; a student who was a junior high school student when his composition "In the Spring" was first performed in 2013 became a teacher 10 years later and commissioned the piece for his students.The title is taken from a line in the school song of the commissioned school, "To the skies of the future, stringing our wings, we soar", and as the title suggests, the music is bright and fluttering toward the future. The CD also includes 13 other pieces, ranging from original compositions to classical arrangements and popular works of intermediate and advanced grades. This collection is full of pieces that will be useful not only in competitions, but also in concerts and other events.
