The Northern Irish singer-songwriter with a hunting cap and a kaiser mustache is releasing his long-awaited new album, "SIGNS OF VANCE". His latest work, "SIGNS OF LIFE. Created in the midst of a pandemic that has shrouded the world in a haze of uncertainty, SIGNS OF LIFE is an album that expresses the dawn after darkness, hope after despair, connection after isolation, and elation after lockdown-all in one. It reflects Vance's desire to capture every aspect of everything, every texture of the human condition. This desire is expressed not only in the songs, but also in the album's artwork, which features bold, vintage-inspired portraits, shot with a 160-year-old vintage camera. Vance wears a dress, blonde wig, and theatrical makeup on the front, and a bare-knuckled boxer on the back. I liked that it captured both men and women in a striking image of madness. Life is extreme, unstable, and can explode into reality or come to a quick halt. That's why I thought it made sense to be struck by this image of album colors," he says of the cover photo.Recorded at Vance's home studio, Pilgrim Studios on the shores of Loch Tay in Highland Perthshire, Scotland, in a studio set up in nearby Dunbarlich House, and at the Plan B-owned Kings X Studios in London, this album was produced by young Northern Irish producer Gareth Dunlop. It was produced by the young Gareth Dunlop. Gareth was also fascinated by Vance, having been a fan of his since he saw him play in a Belfast coffee shop at the age of 14, and never imagined that 18 years later he would be co-producing an album with him.
