David Bowie continues to have a profound influence not only on music, but also on culture, art, and the fashion scene. He has released an amazing box set series, "Loving the Aline (1983-1988)", the fourth in the series, "GLASTONBURY 2000", a live album of his legendary live performance in 2000, and a 7-inch single box set containing his early demo recordings. The new 7-inch picture disc will be released from the man who has released a box set of 7-inch singles containing his early demo recordings. This release is a 40th anniversary limited edition 7" picture disc single of "BOYS KEEP SWINGING", which was released in 1979 as the first single from "LODGER", the final chapter of the Berlin Trilogy, an album produced in an experimental way with Brian Eno. Released in 1979, the single included "Boys Keep Swinging" on the A-side and "Fantastic Voyage" on the B-side, which was the opening track on the "LODGER" album and had the same chord progression as "Boys Keep Swinging". Fantastic Voyage" was included on the B-side.At the time of recording this album, Bowie wanted a garage band sound, and in keeping with Eno's "Oblique Strategy" experimentation, the song was recorded with guitarist Carolus Alomar on drums, drummer Dennis Davis on bass, and other band members switching instruments. The band members switched their instruments on this recording. The song is now being released as a 40th anniversary limited edition 7" single picture disc, with the A-side featuring the 2017 Tony Visconti mix of the song that was included in "A NEW CAREER IN A NEW TOWN," the third box set that summarizes Bowie's career, and a new AA mix by Tony Visconti. The AA side includes the song "I Pray, Ole," which was recorded during the "LODGER" sessions but never saw the light of day until it was included as a bonus track on the 1991 reissue. This album, like the previous ones, is a limited edition! A must-have collector's item for Bowie fans!
