Jean-Efflam Bavouzet is a giant star of French pianism. The concerto started as a classical concerto following Haydn's concerto collection (CHAN10808), and was selected as a "Special Disc" by Record Art (Volume 1), "Concerto Choice" by BBC Music Magazine (Volumes 3 & 4), "Editor's Choice" by Gramophone Magazine & "Gramophone Award" nomination (Volume 4). Gramophone Magazine's "Editor's Choice" and "Gramophone Award" nominees (Volume 4). The sixth volume in the series features the fascinating coupling of "No. 23," one of the most famous classical piano concertos of all time, and "No. 22," which was written around the same time, as well as a performance by Gabor Takács-Nagy, a founding member of the Takács Quartet and recently active conductor, with one of England's leading chamber orchestras, the "Manchester Camerata. The overture to the opera "The Theatre Manager" is performed by Gabor Takács-Nagy, a founding member of the Takács String Quartet and in recent years the conductor of the Manchester Camerata.
