Description:

Nobuya Sugawa's latest work! A super-strong tag team with Yutaka Sado & BBC Philharmonic Orchestra! Also includes Takashi Yoshimatsu's remarkable work, Albireo Mode! Nobuya Sugawa is one of Japan's most outstanding wind instrumentalists, with world-class ability, and is attracting attention for his every move as the world's greatest saxophonist in both name and reality! The album is backed up by Japan's hottest maestro, Yutaka Sado, whose effervescent enthusiasm and passion exudes an overwhelming presence, and the BBC Philharmonic, which has further expanded its scale under the direction of Principal Conductor Noseda! Takashi Yoshimatsu, who put aside his doubts and took up the writing brush at the suggestion of Nobuya Sugawa for a "work for soprano saxophone. The idea for "Albireo Mode," one of the few concertos for soprano saxophone in the world, grew out of the existence of two jazz players, John Coltrane and Jan Garbarek, who are located at opposite ends of the spectrum, and the duality or duality of the two. This is also the world premiere recording of "Concerto du Vin - Concerto of the Winds," written in 2005 by Toshiyuki Honda, a jazz saxophonist and composer, and based on a jazz theme. The charm and potential of this "saxophone concerto collection" with "mode" (melody) as its keyword, including the combination of two world premiere recordings of concertos commissioned by Nobuya Sugawa himself from Takashi Yoshimatsu and Toshiyuki Honda, and two concertos that are important concert repertoire for saxophone, is The charm and possibilities of this "saxophone concerto collection" are immeasurable. This is a confident work by a rare virtuoso that unleashes the infinite charm of the saxophone instrument. It is inevitable that this album will be a bigger breakout hit than "Cyberbird Concerto" (CHAN9737), which has sold 30,000 copies in Japan alone! We hope you will enjoy it!
