Description:
Prokofiev often adapted music for film and stage into concert works. He was one of the first composers to focus on the effects of film music, and in 1933 he was one of the first to create 16 pieces of music for Feinzimmel's "Lieutenant Kyger. Prokofiev returned home in 1927 after a long absence abroad, and before his full return in 1936, he continued to contribute to his homeland by composing for soon-to-be-developed talkie films. Prokofiev's "Lieutenant Kije" is a comedy, with Prokofiev's characteristic aloof humor and venom, while Eisenstein's "Alexander Nesovky," produced in 1938, is still a masterpiece that represents Soviet cinema today, depicting the feat of Prince Nevsky who defeated the Mongols on the ice in 1242, Prokofiev's music is also sincere and moving. Thierry Fischer, who was the Permanent Conductor of the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra from 2008 to 2011, is well known in Japan and has been the Music Director of the Utah Symphony Orchestra since 2009.The Utah Symphony Orchestra, which has a strong Abravanel image, is also celebrating its 80th year of prestige in 2020.
