Nikolai Tokarev, a boy pianist prodigy, made his debut on Sony Classical in 2007 with "Tokarev No. 1". Born in Moscow in 1983, Tokarev made his debut in Moscow in 1995 and quickly became a popular soloist in Japan, performing throughout the country the following year. However, it is extremely difficult for a "boy prodigy" to become a great pianist, and it goes without saying that it takes a great deal of effort and inquisitiveness to become a great pianist. This year he turned 31 years old. Although he is still young, he has grown into a pianist of great stature.This album was recorded in 2011, and it is interesting to note that he not only plays Russian works and Liszt, which are his specialties, but also clean classical works by Cimarosa and Scarlatti. Of course, he also includes works by Rosenblatt, whom he admires. The result is a piece with solid technique and a wide range of expressive power.
