La Fuente

Description:

LA FUENTE was founded by Armando Federico Tolosa (g/cavaquinho/vo) and Gualberto Elio Romero (g/b/harmonica/vo), and was active in the underground music scene in Argentina from the end of 70's to the beginning of 80's. The second album by LA FUENTE, a folk-rock band, was released on Ciclo 3 in Argentina in 1983, and is now available for the first time on CD from Fonocal in Argentina in 2012, The ensemble is inspired by South American folklore, such as Andean music, and the delicate male vocal harmonies are mysterious, and the graceful prog-folk/folk-rock line is the same as on the previous album, but with a more mainstream pop sensibility typical of the early 1980s. The title track and "Donde Fueron los Murgueros," which has an acidic feel, emphasize a rock beat with drums and bombo,This album has a stronger folk "rock" stance than its predecessor. Although it is inferior to the previous album in terms of acoustic beauty and emotional expression, it is a work that will attract the attention of South American folk/rock fans, as it depicts a vast sound world that could only be expressed in Argentina at that time, with a faintly spread symphonic color that is shared with fellow countrymen such as PASTORAL and ATONAL!
