This album is a concept album by the renowned Belgrade-born pianist Sinadin (Dejan Sinadinović), who captures the contrasting characteristics of “brightness” and “shadow” found in Mozart’s keyboard works within the beautiful arc of a single album. Lucid and radiant sonatas, fantasias with dramatic and fantastical structures, adagios filled with deep introspection, and rondo pieces rich in nuance. Through these four masterpieces, Mozart’s inner world is expressed—a world where formal beauty and emotional depth, joy and sorrow, and flowing melodies and intricate harmonies coexist without contradiction. Sinadin studied under Arvo Valdma and Elisso Virsaladze and is one of Serbia’s leading pianists, inheriting both the German lineage tracing back to Arthur Schnabel and the tradition of Russian pianism stemming from Jakov Zak and Heinrich Neuhaus. and is one of Serbia’s leading pianists. To date, he has given over 100 recitals throughout Europe, as well as in the United States, Canada, and China, establishing an international career. In addition to mentoring the next generation as a professor at the Faculty of Music of the University of the Arts in Belgrade, he also conducts master classes at institutions such as the St. Petersburg Conservatory and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
