Born in 1983, Madrid-based pianist Daniel Garcia delves into his roots as a Spaniard at the crossroads of diverse cultures in his second release on the ACT label. Featuring guest artists such as Ibrahim Marouf, a trumpeter from Lebanon who freely manipulates microtones; Anat Cowen, a clarinetist from Israel who continues to expand the possibilities of the instrument; and Gerardo Núñez, one of the greatest flamenco guitarists of our time, this album allows listeners to fully experience Spain, a true "melting pot of cultures". Paco de Lucia's famous song "Vol ar" is a thrilling masterpiece that brilliantly combines elements of flamenco jazz and contemporary jazz. His mentor, Danilo Perez, said, "You should play the music you feel inside yourself.With the words "Strength and courage" in mind, this is a work overflowing with unwavering resolve and bold adventurous spirit.
