Howard Jones burst onto the scene as a pop outlier of the 80s UK New Wave. Howard Jones is one of the leading melody makers in the electric pop/techno pop scene and has been active in the scene for more than 30 years, selling more than 8 million records to date. This is his first album in six years and 10th original album in total. Howard Jones was born in Southampton, England in 1955. From "Human's Lib/Hide and Seek" (#1 in the UK) in 1984, "New Song," "What Is Love," and "Hide and Seek" were big hits.' Their second album, "Dream Into Action" (#10 in the U.S., #2 in the U.K.) in 1985, produced a series of single hits in the U.S., including "Only Get Better" and "Sad Wish with Phil Collins". While making full use of the most advanced synthesizers of the time, they created a pop and friendly human sound that was never sharp, and became popular around the world riding the wave of the second British Invasion. They were also popular in Japan, where they were idolized.' In 1986, Rolling Stone magazine named him the best keyboard player of the year.This album is a complete change from the previous album "Ordinary Heroes," which was full of organic and warm pop songs with acoustic piano and strings, to a new style of "Ele-Pop" that incorporates (engages) the essence of classical, pop, film, ballet, and contemporary dance music, and recalls Howard's works from the 1980s. The album is a departure from his previous album "Ordinary Heroes," which was filled with songs from classical music, pop, film music, ballet music, contemporary dance music, and more. The DVD contains artistic renditions of the world of each song on ENGAGE with performance footage, and can be enjoyed as both a LIVE video work and a MUSIC VIDEO. It also includes 5.1ch surround sound.
