A collection of piano works by the modern British composer Sacheverell Cork. A friend of Rachmaninoff and Moiseyevich, he was especially close to Rachmaninoff, to whom he dedicated his own second symphony. Although his talent as a composer was widely recognized, his works were rarely performed, and most of his scores are still in the Chesterfield library. For this recording, pianist Callahan saw Cork's scores for the first time and was intrigued by the exquisite style of the music, and decided to continue researching the work.
