This album is a reissue from the rare sound sources of the Institut National d'Audiovisual (INA), and features the French conductor of the 20th century, Paul Paray (1886-1979), conducting the Orchestre National de Radio France in Brahms' Symphony No. 3 (May 12, 1964) and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 (November 25, 1970). These are the first authorized live recordings at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées! Brahms and Tchaikovsky were 78 and 84 years old at the time of conducting, respectively. It is also a pleasure to hear the recording in stereo. You can enjoy the performance with a real sense of presence! *Japanese commentary is not included. King International
