His second solo album since "Handel's Keyboard Works (ADX 13709)" features sonatas by Carl Friedrich Christian Fasch (1736-1800), son of Johann Friedrich Fasch and founder of the Berliner Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft, Variations, and a collection of character pieces. Carl Fasch's works have been largely ignored by music historians for various reasons: his appearance coincided with the outbreak of the Seven Years' War, he personally burned all his works after the death of Frederick the Great, and the supremacy of musical style was established in Vienna. While many sources describe Fasch as a "conservative musician," Griswal's research sheds light on the hidden charms of a man who, according to Griswal, was flexible to the major stylistic changes of his time and had the ability to develop a highly original style of musical expression. Philippe Grisvert was born in Nancy, France.He studied at the Schola Cantorum Basel and is currently based in Paris, where he plays with the Ensemble Diderot, as well as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Le Poème Armonique, Ensemble Marschuas, Les Nouveaux Caractères, La Fenice, La Chapelle Renane, and many other ancient music He is an important bass continuo player in many ensembles.
