This new album is a deeply personal work, inviting us into a world where sound, silence, and imagination converge against the backdrop of a luminous nightscape. Inspired by the soft light of the moon and the heightened sensibilities of the night, the program begins with introspection and unfolds as a journey tracing the shift in consciousness—from a fleeting sense of unease toward a dreamlike intensity. Carefully combining iconic repertoire by Chopin, Beethoven, and Debussy with innovative and unexpected works by the Danish singer-songwriter Agnes Ober and the American contemporary composer John Cage, the album features a clear concept with a strong narrative quality. Regarding the title Lunaris, Liu explains, “It came to mind as a word that sounds both familiar and mysterious. The root ‘Luna’ evokes the moon, the night, and a soft, intimate light.
