Debut of SiX BY SiX, a progressive rock trio featuring the great musicians of THE GREG KIHN BAND, SAGA, and SAXON! SiX BY SiX is a progressive rock band formed by Robert Berry, a multi-instrumentalist known for his work with the trio "3" with the late Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer, GTR, and THE GREG KIHN BAND. Robert has invited Ian Crichton (guitar) from the Canadian progressive rock band SAGA and Nigel Glockler (drums) from the British metal veterans SAXON to join the band for their debut album "SiX BY SiX". Six by Six," which Robert says he spent most of 2021 working on, contains 10 songs that are heavy, melodic, and have impressive choruses that can singalong. His guitar solos are mouthwatering. Ian Crichton's distinctive guitar, which Robert praises as "like The Beatles," and Nigel Glockler's powerful and crisp drums support the songs, which are written by Robert, who boasts a diverse career and talent. I feel very at home at SiX by SiX, where I can play the music the way I like to play it," said Glockler. When the three of us got together in California, it was like meeting an old friend. We hit it off musically right away, and by working within the framework of a three-piece, we were able to branch out in all directions and showcase our strengths. Great songs, great solos, great performances, perfection! I'm known as the drummer for SAXON, but I've always been a big fan of progressive rock. I'd pay money to get this one myself! Nigel adds, "I've been a big fan of progressive rock for a long time, and this is something I'd pay money for myself!With the death of my musical partner Keith Emerson, I faced a difficult question. Do I close the curtain on my creative career, or do I pursue exciting music that reaches new heights? My instinct was to take a dramatically guitar-oriented turn. I was conflicted about whether there was a guitarist as good as Keith Emerson, a keyboard prodigy, when I met Ian Crichton at the suggestion of my manager, and we had a surprisingly good match in "mindset," "style," and "future goals. Was it luck, timing, or fate? My lucky number is 3, so I decided to make a 3-piece band with Ian. For the last one, we needed a "solid" and "heavy hitter" drummer with "the same mindset", and our friend Nigel Glockler was just the right person for the job. This extraordinary combination of "friendship," "musicianship," and "humor" resulted in a brand new band, SiX By SiX, made up of an Englishman, a Canadian, and an American. With world-class musicianship, technical sophistication, and endless possibilities, SiX By SiX's debut album is just the beginning of an exciting journey.
