Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, one of the world's foremost exponents of French pianism, has undertaken a project to record Haydn's complete piano sonatas. In this sixth volume of the series, Bavouzet explores Haydn's diverse styles and expressions, starting with the fascinating early sonata "No. 11," followed by the two lesser-known sonatas "No. 34" & "No. 35," which were published in the late 1770s without the composer's approval, and "No. 36," which opens up a new style of Haydn composition. No. 36 and No. 43 sonatas, which open up the world of Haydn's new compositional style. Haydn is a composer who is always open to new interpretations, and this Haydn series by Bavouzet, who has been challenging to construct a new world, has been highly acclaimed worldwide.
