Like the wings of a butterfly, the fan opens delicately and closes with a slight tremor, expressing the deepest emotions of the soul. Thanks to the poem "Eventail" by Stéphane Mallarmé and the wonderful music by Ravel and Debussy, the fan that opens fold by fold ("pris-slon pris") has become a symbol of the most hidden words, sounds, and colors of French music.
