A Collaboration Between a Virtuoso from the Karajan Academy and a Mozart Specialist [Cadenza-Style Miniature] ◆ An album of Mozart’s flute concertos framed by a cadenza-style miniature by Sofia Neugebauer, lasting about one minute. ◆ The opening piece seems to serve as an introduction to the Mozart performances that follow, by showcasing material from the flute concertos. ◆The final track features a fragment of the beautiful trio from *Cosi Fan Tutte*, and the booklet explains the reasoning behind this choice. Incidentally, the lyrics of the original trio convey a meaning along the lines of, “May the wind be gentle, the waves be calm, and may all the forces of nature respond kindly to our wishes.” [Period Performance on Modern Instruments] ◆Performed by a small ensemble using modern instruments. During this time, she deepened her understanding of Mozart after being selected as a scholarship recipient by the Dortmund Mozart Society in 2018. ◆Essen Volkswang Chamber Orchestra: Founded in 1958. The orchestra boasts a wide-ranging repertoire from early music to the contemporary era, with a particular focus on Mozart’s works in recent years. ◆Johannes Krump: German conductor.
