This groundbreaking compilation features the great work of Bobby Marin, who is known as a pioneer of the boogaloo era along with Rui Ramirez. He has written and arranged songs for some of the biggest names in Latin music. As a musician, Bobby Marin has been active as a singer and songwriter in the Latin music scene in New York City. He also founded prestigious labels such as Salsa Records, which released the Ghetto Brothers and Brooklyn Sounds. He has also held managerial positions at such prestigious labels as United Artists Latino, Orpheon, and TR Records. This album contains 24 songs from the boogaloo period that established Bobby Marin's fame. The album includes 24 tracks from the boogaloo era, when Bobby Marin established his reputation as a musician and producer, The content includes not only boogaloo and Latin funk, but also rock and Afro-disco, which shows how wide a range of music he has worked on as a producer. Of course, every song is danceable, and the DJ-friendly selection, mixed with rare 7" tracks, makes this compilation too good to be true for collectors.
