Description:

La Compaña del Madrigale! The first volume of Jezualdo's Madrigale Collection! La Compaña del Madrigale" won the Record Academy Award 2017! The music of Carlo Jesuardo has continued since the beginning of his career. The latest release is the first volume of the Madrigale collection! The Madrigale project, which began with La Venexiana, is now complete! La Compaña del Madrigale, one of the best Latin vocal ensembles, has made a name for itself around the world after winning the 2017 Record Academy Award for Best Music History for Monteverdi's masterpiece "The Evening Prayer of the Virgin Mary" (GCD 922807). The eleventh recording is a collection of the group's first and most popular works, including "Madrigale Vol. 6 (GCD 922801)," "Responsorium (GCD 922803)," "Madrigale Vol. 3 (GCD 922806)," and "Madrigale Vol. 2 (GCD 922809)," and is the first recording of the group to be released on the label. Since La Venexiana (an ensemble under a different name but with several principal members) has recorded the fourth (GCD 920934) and fifth (GCD 920935) volumes of the Madrigale Collection, Glossa now has the music of Carlo Gesualdo, a heretical genius who has been a frequent collaborator of the group since its inception. s six-volume recording project of five-voice madrigale collections is finally complete after more than 20 years of work.Carlo Jesualdo (1566-1613), a composer of genius who led a strange life: a noble family of clergy, the Duke of Venosa, and the Count of Conza, but also a bloody side of murdering his wife and adulterous partner, and a lonely end to his later years. Published in Ferrara in 1594 (at the age of 28, four years after the murder of his unfaithful wife), around the same time as the second volume, the first volume of his five-voice Madrigale collection, a collection of works probably composed before 1591, is a far cry from the famous experimental style of his later years, and consists of the young composer's clear, impeccable, and The music is clear, impeccable, and effective, a far cry from the famous experimental style of the later period. A deep knowledge of the music and poetry of the period, a beautiful voice and precise tuning, and an exquisite expressiveness in expressing the wealth of affection (affetti) contained in these works have resulted in an excellent recording that will likely become another milestone in this demanding repertoire. Additional tracks include the instrumental works performed by "La Chimera" and two canzonettas by Jesuardo from Pomponio Nenna's Madrigale in Five Voices, Volume 8. Tokyo M Plus
