Description:
This is the second album by Sabine Devielle, who suddenly became one of France's top sopranos with her 2013 debut disc Rameau: Theatre of Love (9999.341492). Despite having just graduated at the top of her class from the Conservatoire de Paris in 2011, she has made a splash by appearing in numerous operas while still a student. She was awarded the 2013 Victoire de la Musique, France's Grammy Award, and the Diapason d'Or, and is now in great demand at various opera houses. In this new album, she performs a program of songs associated with the Weber sisters, who were romantically involved with Mozart. The album opens with the overture to "Les Petits liens," a joyful and lively work.First, Dovieille sings "Mama, listen to me," without any accompaniment, and you will be completely charmed by her natural singing, which is backed by her solid technique, but you will not feel it at all. She is not stoic in her non-vibrato singing, but rather sings with a clear and transparent voice that is not hysterical, and her high notes are full of reserve, even though she sings the hesitant emotional swings of the song. Her voice is clear and her high notes are not hysterical, but full of reserve. She is regarded as the successor to Nathalie Dessay and a rising star of baroque opera, and her singing is beyond reproach. Her superb technique to freely manipulate the high notes of the coloratura is also flawless. Warner Music Japan
