This is the second album to "Prophone" by Carin Lundin, a promising female vocalist from Sweden, which starts with "Ain't That Love" by Ray Charles, who has sadly passed away. (This is her third album in total, following Sittell's "babble"). Landin is sometimes called the successor to "Monica Zetarlund," but listening to (2), it seems that Anne Burton's influence is the most significant. She has also composed many songs, and in 2001 received an award as a composer from the Swedish Society of Artists, and also sang herself in this work, providing two original compositions. Now, this is an album for adults, where you can enjoy Carin's voice as she sings softly backed by the trio of Jan Lundgren, a pianist from Sweden. Listening to "Zem Ze Eyes," she gives the impression of a mature woman in her late 30s, born in 1966. Carin was born in 1966, grew up in a town in southern Sweden, and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. After graduation, she spent 1991-93 working as a "Singing Waitress" in a show restaurant.In 1994 she joined the local band of Rolf Ericson (tp) and went on an easy trip. 1996 she sang in a jazz club in Chile for some reason. That year she formed her first own band with Magnus Lindgren, Dicken HEdrenius, Johan Seterlind, Martin Ostergren, Pablo Perez and others. In 1997, he released his first leader album "From Dusk To Down" on "Prophone" and joined the Jan Lundgren Orchestra at the Jazz Festival with Arne Domnerus and Rune Gustavsson. In May 2000, he released his second album "Babble" on "Sitell". In September 2001, he toured with the Chamber Orchestra "Musica Vitae", and in July 2002, he performed with his quintet at Vienna's Jazz Festival in Austria.
