OFFENBACH is a Quebec art/blues/hard rock band formed by Gerry Boulet (vo/organ/synth) and L'OPERA POP D'OFFENBACH, which later changed its name and evolved into OFFENBACH. The live album is a 2-CD set released in '25 from Return To Analog (Canada), containing live recordings from the second show on the 19th, which was held at the Jardin des Etoiles in Montreal on July 18-19, '75. The band had been in Europe for over a year for the production of the documentary film "TABARNAC" directed by Claude Faraldo and the accompanying European tour/album, and after returning to their hometown Quebec, the band went on a short tour in Canada. This show was recorded by Kebec Films, a video production company, and the pro-shot live video was later aired on various TV stations including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, so the show was relatively famous among fans. The following year, in 1976, the A.G.A. performed at the Aoyama Grammy Festival. The following year, in 1976, the band released their first English-language album "Never Too Tender" on the A&M Records label, a valuable archive that captures the band at their peak, right in the middle of their ascent to the world stage. The performance included their signature songs "Faut que je me pousse" and "Caline de blues," as well as "Every Day I Get the Blues" and "Sad Song," which would later appear on "NEVER TOO TENDER," and other unreleased songs from that time. and "Sad Song", which were later included in "Never Too Tender".The band's roots are in CREAM/DEEP PURPLE, but they have added their own unique artistic color, and their fat and dynamic blues and hard rock sound is superb, led by Gerry Boulet's sturdy vocals and Hammond organ!
