Cherubini Quartett
Description:
Box containing all the recordings of the Cherubini Quartet, formed by Christoph Poppen and others. The Kerbini Quartet was founded in Düsseldorf in 1978 by Christoph Poppen, who is now also a conductor, under the auspices of the Amadeus Quartet and Schandl Weg. The Quervini Quartet is named after Luigi Cervini, the Italian composer who wrote six string quartets. The Quervini Quartet won international acclaim for their interpretations of 19th century string quartets, winning the Grand Prix at the International String Quartet Competition in Evian, France, and an exclusive contract with EMI Classics in 1988. This box set contains all the recordings of the quartet. The box also includes recordings that the members made individually for EMI Classics as instrumentalists (but not the recordings conducted by Christoph Poppen). Lyrics not included.
