Debut release from FLOCKS, a new duo of drone specialists WERNER DURAND and ULI HOHMANN. The hypnotic ethnic beat is led by a mysterious melodic wind instrument (apparently made by the duo themselves!) that is reminiscent of Mulatu. The hypnotic ethno-beat of "Quicksand" is led by a mysterious wind instrument (apparently made by the duo themselves!), while the spiritual drone of "Convergence" will take you to a faraway place. The music is a combination of Persian percussion and delicate electronics, and based on this, it is a completely original musical world. And the bass is pretty solid.
