Recorded live at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Small Hall from 2007-17. With a straightforward approach without any pedantry, Okada's performance is rich in content, with a clear and honest expression of the form of the works themselves, and in recent years, she has added depth of expression and a stronger persuasive power. ＜Hiromi Okada (piano) was born in Toyama Prefecture. Studied under Jinichiro Ando, Yoshiki Moriyasu, and Maria Curcio. While a student at Toho Gakuen School of Music, she won the first prize at the 48th Japan Music Competition. After graduating from Toho Gakuen School of Music at the top of her class, she won the first prize at the 28th Maria Canals International Competition in 1982, the first prize in the piano section at the 2nd Japan International Music Competition in 1983, and the first prize at the 2nd Pretoria International Competition in 1984. In 1985, he gave his debut recital in London to great acclaim.In 1993, she received the 20th Chopin Society of Japan Award for her performance of the complete Chopin Etudes. In May 2011, she performed Beethoven's "Emperor" with the Philharmonia Orchestra in the UK to great acclaim. He is also active in chamber music, performing with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and violinists Atsuko Amma and Shigemichi Kawabatake, among others, to much acclaim. He has frequently appeared at various music festivals, including the La Roque d'Antheron International Piano Festival, the Great Romantics Festival, the Istanbul International Piano Festival, the Steinbach Music Festival, the Tokyo Summer Music Festival, and the Kusatsu Music Festival. In recent years, she has been teaching master classes in Canada and Japan. She has released CDs in the fields of solo and chamber music from Camerata Tokyo on an ongoing basis, all of which have received high acclaim. Camerata Tokyo
