Description:

In 2021, the genius guitarist celebrates the 30th anniversary of his debut with a project to record all six "Bach's greatest works for guitar", the "Suite for Unaccompanied Cello". Vol. 1 containing the first three pieces has been released! Masahiro Masuda continues to be one of Japan's top guitarists. In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of his debut, Masahiro Masuda launched a project to record all six of J.S. Bach's "Suites for Unaccompanied Cello". J.S. Bach's six "Suites for Unaccompanied Cello" (BWV 1007-12), which he completed during his period as court music director in Keten (1717-23), have been widely praised to this day for their originality, dignity, rational construction, and emotional richness. The music of these works has been widely praised to this day. It is no exaggeration to say that Masuda's performance is "the pinnacle of Bach on guitar," as he approaches the music with sincerity while also taking bold approaches such as changing the tonality to make the most of the characteristics of the guitar instrument. This is the first series of six pieces by a Japanese guitarist since Kazuhito Yamashita, a fellow Japanese guitarist. This is a must-listen, a genealogy of geniuses. Masahiro Masuda (guitarist) was born in Nagasaki City.He studied under S. Isbin at the Juilliard School Master's Program. He won the first prize at the 21st Classical Guitar Competition, the youngest ever (12 years old), and was a finalist at the International Competition in Chicago in 2003, among many other national and international awards. In 2001, she made her international debut at New York's Lincoln Center as concerto soloist for Rodrigo's 100th anniversary concert, where she performed the Aranjuez Concerto. In 2012, she toured Spain, giving a critically acclaimed recital at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. He has collaborated with art historian Yusuke Kawase on "Concerts to Enjoy Music and Art: Where Guitar and Painting Meet" throughout Japan. He has released more than 30 CDs, many of which have been well received by various media. He is highly acclaimed for his guitar concertos and chamber music collaborations with other instruments, and also conducts outreach activities to popularize classical music. He is one of Japan's most talented guitarists who continues to work with ever-increasing vigor.
