[One Step Festival 50th Anniversary] Yuya Uchida! Chiho Yuuki! Creation! Yellow! Haruofon! Joe Yamanaka! In August 1974, Japan's first major rock festival "One Step Festival" was held at Kaiseiyama Park in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, produced by Yuya Uchida and organized by Saburo Sato. The following year, on the 10th of the same month, a rock concert "Flying Carnival" was held at the Koriyama Sogo Gymnasium with the same staff and objectives. The same year, the "World Rock Festival," produced by Yuya Uchida and featuring Jeff Beck, the New York Dolls, Felix Papalardi, and others, was held at five venues throughout Japan, from Sapporo on August 3 to Korakuen Stadium on August 7, the day after the final performance in Sendai on August 9. Yuya Uchida, Chiho Yuki, Joe Yamanaka, Creation, Yoninbayashi, Downtown Boogie Woogie Band, Yellow, Haruofon, OH! MAN GO, and Taj Mahal Traveling Group also performed.Creation getting into the groove just before going global! Hallewophone debuted with "Funky Dakko No. 1" and features Caron Hogan on vocals! Joe Yamanaka Super Session with Lee Rybacek, Katsutoshi Morizono, and Haruo Chikada performs a classic Flower Travelin' Band song! And "Rock 'n' Roll Baka" by Yuya Uchida & Chiho Yuki (Ki-Kirin)! These are all world premieres, edited from the few remaining tapes into a 2-CD set of about 80 minutes. The poster was designed by Masamichi Oikawa (who appeared with his band OH! MAN GO), who has been featured on the cover of "Pia" since September 1975.
