This is the long-awaited second album by Jenifel Souza, a singer/songwriter from Minas, who is also a member of the band Moons, since 2013. Jenifel Souza, a singer/songwriter and member of the band Moons from Minas, Brazil, releases her long-awaited new album, her first since 2013! The recording was done at our good friend Leonardo Marques' studio, Ilha do Corvo, under Leonardo's production. In addition to the unique compositional style of Jenifel, and the uncompromising ensemble of "Minas New Generation" musicians, including his close friend Frederico Eliodoro, the new album also features up-and-coming writers such as Luis Gabriel Lopez and Jafa Castro, as well as a number of new musicians, including Moons, Jafael Martini, Chihuly, and Jorge Mendoza. This time around, the ensemble will be joined by up-and-coming writers such as Luis Gabriel Lopez and Hafa Castro, and diverse guests such as Moons, Hafa Martini and Chigana Santana. The delicate and earnest voice of the singer, which also shows the influence of his beloved Jeff Buckley, is now even more nuanced and larger in scale than on his previous work.The songs and ensembles developed through friendly competition with her friends, and her fragile yet receptive voice, which seems to directly express the struggles of one person, Jenifel Souza, will transcend the barriers of genre and language and evoke a wide range of emotions in the listener. This is a singer/songwriter work that I recommend to all music fans.
