The veteran singer, who has also performed with Charlie Parker and Charles Mingus, sings standards in a witty and stylish manner with his unique phrasing and sense of rhythm. She is backed by an orchestra arranged and conducted by Bobby Scott for the first six songs and the Hank Jones Trio for the latter five. He has a history as a guitarist and also performs as a soloist.
