Nestor Torres is a Puerto Rican flutist who began flute lessons at the age of 12. He attended a local college but moved to New York City with his family when he was 18. He studied jazz and classical music. He had already gained a reputation as a jazz flutist, but in 1990 he suffered a serious accident that radically changed his life. However, he overcame his misfortune and released a series of works. His music, a fusion of Western and traditional Latin American music, has won Grammy Awards and continues to attract many people. This album includes not only Torres' works but also those of Fernandez, Aguilar, and Leon. You can enjoy a variety of music that cannot be summed up in one word, "Latin America. Naxos Japan
