Mayr, Giovanni Simone (1763-1845)
Description:
Born in Germany and active in Italy, classical composer Djimon Meir has been released by NAXOS in a number of operas and religious works. In 182, Maile was appointed as the life music director of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Bergamo, but by that time he was already highly respected in Venice as a "great master of church music. It is assumed that "Miserere - Mercy" and "Loreto's Prayer" were composed during this period. Miserere" is a large work with beautiful orchestral accompaniment that envelops an intimate dialogue between the chorus and soloists, while "Loreto's Prayer" is a large work with a beautiful but restrained orchestral accompaniment. Loreto's Prayer" is a sad and mournful work with a mournful expression running through the entire work. Naxos Japan
