Description:
Moises was born into a family of musicians. His father Mikuláš was a renowned composer, educator, and pioneer in the Slovak music world, and the young Moises received his first musical instruction from his father. His 12 symphonies are his best-known works, but he also composed concertos, chamber music, film, radio, and dramatic music, and his works in a wide variety of genres, including music for film, radio, and drama, are among his most popular. His Symphony No. 1, composed in 1929, is an important work in Slovak music after World War I and is considered to represent the beginning of a new era. It is said to symbolize the beginning of a new era. It incorporates elements of folk music and has a solemn sound reminiscent of Bruckner. Naxos Japan
