Founded in 2019, the Keios String Quartet was taught by Johannes Meissl at the University of Music and Drama Vienna and later studied with the Casals Quartet; in 2022 they won the prestigious competitions Munich ARD and Bordeaux, and in 2023-25, the "BBC Radio3 New Generation Artists" The debut album is a collection of works by the young musicians of the "Bergen Quartet" and the "Bordeaux Quartet". Their debut album is a program that shows the many facets of the string quartet, as befits a group that claims to be "passionate performers with a highly refined technique and an experimental, energetic approach.
