Description:
Violinist Shushanu Shiranosyan is currently a hot name in the world of ancient music as of 2018. Hailed by Immaazel as "the next generation of stars in the Anima Eterna," her album is a combination of Mendelssohn's concertos and octets. Mendelssohn was known to revise his own works many times, and the famous "Violin Concerto in E Minor" is no exception, as it was originally conceived as a piano concerto and took six years to complete, despite the advice of a violinist friend. Anima Eterna and Silanosyan, led by Jacob Lehmann, perform the original version of the piece and succeed in flushing out the true nature of the work. The original version of the Octet, recorded at the same time, has also been selected, and this is also a valuable performance that shows many differences from the version we usually hear.
